Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
