The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning comeback to defeat the Rams in overtime, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.
Rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth consecutive win.
While the Los Angeles had already secured a playoff spot earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the postseason after a two-year absence.
With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their Conference race with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four standing.
Game Highlights
Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but recovered to make two touchdown passes, including the tying TD to wideout Smith-Njigba in overtime.
The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at half-time before Walker burst through for a long scoring dash for Seattle.
Los Angeles defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the next play.
In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Stafford to Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a spectacular return for a score.
Darnold then found Barner in the end zone, and a successful two-point play forced the contest into an extra period.
Although Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the decisive score.
