Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public individuals shared different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial statements that were broadly criticized by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the death was made.
