While White House officials have in the past claimed that the president's approach toward Venezuela is primarily driven by immigration issues and illegal drug operations, his latest comments imply that this antagonism could additionally root on an outlandish narrative that was rejected as baseless by a judge in recent years.
"It's crucial to direct our complete attention and resources on ELECTION FRAUD!!"
The media outlet settled $787 million in last year to a voting technology company to settle a lawsuit that was partly rooted on identical claims about the nation's purported participation in the presidential election.
The development comes just days after reports emerged that federal investigators has been thoroughly questioning individuals promoting these claims who continue to promote the notion that Caracas manipulates election technology firms and alters electoral outcomes to benefit their selected leaders.
