Cars in German City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were notified by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Police report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The substance had been placed in the form of a swastika, they reported.

Police then located multiple other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they added.

Local authorities stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have requested to the community for tips.

A senior official stated the incident left him without words and required to be addressed promptly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a shooter targeting individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
